The house sits on a slope overlooking the valley. A river-stone base anchors the volume to the ground, and above it a cedar structure opens toward the landscape through large panes of glass.

The central hearth gathers the life of the house on cool mountain nights. The interiors, in wood and wool, seek shelter before effect.

A retreat designed for permanence and for the slow passing of the seasons.
